Day Seven
Its always such a good feeling to wake up on a Sunday and the world isn't all fuzzy and spinning round !
Woke up full of energy this morning, had a banana omelette and headed to the gym, drinking my amino work capacity as I walked there.
Today I got back onto the kettlebells, with 10 minutes (2 kettlebell) long cycle, then 2 kettlebell squat power ladder, felt really good, not doing it, but once I'd finished, well about 30minutes after I'd finished.
Also went an easy 30 minute aerobic run in the afternoon, with my housemate, nothing hard but an excellent way to get the oxygen flowing round your body, not all exercise has to be a beasting you know.

Part of this weekend as you'll know, was shopping for the ingredients and making two 'one pot wonders'
First up on Saturday night was Chickpea Hotpot, turned out a great success, a real chunky winter warmer and we got six meals out of it, so that was two each, in the freezer, perfect.
Tonight we had Cashew Paella (vegetarian), which was another success and even nicer cause I didn't have to make this one, (thanks Jodi).
One of the other benefits of making these 'one pot wonders' is you get to use ingredients, you wouldn't eat on their own, or you would never think of buying, so this should help keep that large variety of nutrient rich food in your diet.
Once you start doing this you also realise how many foods you can eat and stops you complaining about the foods you can't.

The combined cost of ingredients for both these dishes, excluding what we had in the house, spices, chickpeas etc came to £16 ! not bad for 8 meals eh ?
Now lets see you complain, about not being able to eat organic, where possible, the vast majority of my shopping list was either organic or locally grown, again where possible. And most bought from the local Fruit and Vegetable market in the centre of St Helier, where I found the traders, extremely helpful, especially if your not sure about what your looking for.
Get yourself down to your local market/farm shop as often as you can, they will be full of really good, seasonal, fresh fruit and vegetables (even some organic).
This will give you a chance to try things you may not of had before.
Back to the routine of the working week tomorrow and yes I have prepared and do have all the food in, that I need to make tomorrows breakfast, will do a shop tomorrow for lunch and to cover next couple of days.
Craig :-)
